What about Gynaecology?
Shakil is qualified as both an obstetrician and gynaecologist from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Until 2010 he practiced both obstetrics and gynaecology. From 2011 onwards he has been only looking after women in pregnancy as part of his interest in maternal-fetal medicine and high risk pregnancy.

He does not offer any gynaecological services from his rooms but is capable to deal with known or unexpected gynaecological problems which may arise during pregnancy or at the time of delivery. Women requiring continued gynaecological follow up or elective surgery will be referred to his colleagues practising gynaecology.
